y'all are gonna think i'm strange
but i'm asking for some vibes &/or for a show i'm working that opens tomorrow night... the vibes/prayers are for me, btw. i'm doing something new this time - running the light board. it's actually quite easy, but i made a really, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY big mistake tonite, & i'm very upset [still] about it. my stage manager chewed me out - & that was fine, because i was quite angry w/myself, as well. she's a really nice person, & things are just fine between us - probably because we agree on whose fault it was!

long story short [
too late now!] i hit the 'go' button during a scene change, which resulted in lights coming up
this is extremely bad & unprofessional...

anyway, calming & paying close attention vibes/prayers for tomorrow nite would be much appreciated! i'm trusting in those powerful TCS vibes - since it's quite possible i won't be on between now & then [working in the morning, theatre stuff in the afternoon & evening].
the show will begin @ 730pm CDT, & will most likely be over around 1045pm.

thanks in advance, tho!

Hey, don't dwell on your mistake. You're only human, mistakes are a way of life. Learn from it, but don't drown yourself thinking about it. From my experience, being OVERLY cautious with that part where you made a mistake before will probably result in you being extremely nervous and possibly making even more mistakes. Relax, you're ready for it! You'll do a great job tonight, I'm sure of it. that the whole show goes wonderfully!

Loads of vibes coming your way Maybe that mistake was made during the rehearsals so that it focuses you on not letting it happen during the real thing

Don't focus on the mistake - concentrate on what you learned from it
You will have a great show tonight

Good luck tonite. I agree sometimes being to careful can lead to errors. Chalk it up to a learning experience. Perhaps a notecard with some reminders might help??

Vibes for you!

Don't feel bad about your mistake, it does no good for you or them to dwell on it. I'm sure you'll do fine.

Aw, I know the feeling. The first night I was on the air as a DJ, I very carefully settled in at the mike, pressed the OPEN button, and then cleared my throat before speaking.

You're pre-disastered now, so no doubt you'll do fine for the rest of the run. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you tonight!

You are not going to do that again for the run of the play.

p.s. What is the play?
it's a musical - Lil Abner [based on the comic strip by Al Capp]. there are 70+ light cues.
but i got my script bound today, plus got pencils & a sharpener... & i'm hoping y'all are all right!
