How Do I Give My Cat a Pill?

I am taking Ike with me as I am moving to Kentucky! Yay!
We are traveling together for 2 6-hour drives to make the trip. She has been prescribed some tranquilizers if she gets too antsy and I was just wondering how I should give them to her. They are very small halfed tablets.

No instructions were included with the pills, oddly.

I had to give some pills to my cat once, what i did is got a piece of cheese and put the pill in the middle of the cheese and feed it to em.Or you can try to put in sometihng else like maybe a soft treat. Hope this helps.

I had to physically pill Abby a few times towards the end of last week and it wasn't a pleasant experience for either of us. She is still very wary around me.

If you have trouble getting the cat to swallow the pill and he is being awkward taking it in his food (like licking the whole plate clean and remarkably the pill is left on the plate), try crushing it up in small knob of marg or butter, then poking very small pieces of pork pie (or something similar he likes) into the butter, keep it small, about quarter to half teaspoon size.
Worked like magic with my cat when it was impossible any other way.

if i ever had to give my cats a pill i would do what seems easiest, crushing it up into a powder, & mixing it up in their wet food. i just dont have the patience or the heart to try to force a pill on them.
