Well, this isn't exactly my first post since I was quite upset with Mattie's bowl movements and some food.
I just wanted to say hi!
Just to describe a little about me. My name is Rebecca; age 15. I'm a 5.0 student (top 3 in my class); I don't have time for drama at school. I don't have job yet, but make about $20-40 a week mowing for old people and chatting for an hour or so with them. --I (save) keep extra money for an emergency for my pets to support the vet bills if any so my mother doesnt have to pay "in full". No more pets after Myrah, so don't temp me! Myrah needed a new home anyway being out on the farm (weather!!), emaciated, fighting for food, and her mother not feeding her anymore.
I have two parrotlets, hedgehog, 4 FireBelly toads, dog, 2 cats. 9 of the 10 pets in the household are strictly mine (I consider the frogs as one though, so 6 out of 7) Mom and dad just pays for the food and some of the vet bills. Sometimes I pay for food.
I told that that I didnt want anymore animals after my 2nd bird, only if it really needed it though. He came home with a barn cat. She's a joy.
Sorry, jabbering about myself!!
Now about my kitty-kats.
Mattie- 4 years old; long haired mixed main coon (huge!!) I think she's about 18-19lbs right now. She's not fat.
She's my sister's cat. Her story was a rescue shelter. When we got her... she was dying because the resue shelter wasnt giving her medicine. So she was in her cage with a food mountain in the corner (people just threw the new food on top of the old food...)---- we got and spent well over $500 bucks to have her all healthy again. Ear mites, heart worm, etc. She's was about dead when we got her. She was all matted up, so she didnt seem so boney at first. She looked miserable, so we took her in.
Myrah- 4 month old girl kitty from a farm; medium haired; has a dot under her nose that looks like a booger. She was always in the window of our friends' house (farmers)... and she looked at my dad, and he had to take her home. She's going to the vet soon!! In air conditioning, all the toys she want, never ending-supply of food, and a nice comfty bed and blankets. I think all cats should be indoors.
Dangit.... sorry for the long, LONG thread. I jabber too much!
