Where did KristyKitty come from? That's two in a row, this time for using each. Meanwhile, luvmycat1 kept out of the clutches of glitch by using sure and MuleNag popped back in to use store. Not used were same and only.

Today's KatKwiz was about TCS announcements.

How often do you take the time to read new announcements? If you do not, is it because you do not feel they are relevant or important? Do you have any idea (as a percentage) how many past KatKwiz questions have come directly from the anouncements? Do you understand why I continue to make sure members are reading the announcements? Are YOU able to post announcements, and if not, do you know why not?

I rarely read the new announcements. I'm sure they are very relevant and important, but I just don't take the time to look at them.
That is very interesting that you use the announcements for Kwiz questions! That is a big hint for the future, I guess!
As far as I know, I can not post announcements...it either has to do with being a mod, an administrator, or a premium member, but I don't know exactly who is able to make those posts.
Thanks for bringing this stuff to my attention...maybe now I will find time to make the announcements a priority on my Cat Site visits!

I usually always read the new announcements if I notice them up there. Maybe five percent of Katkwiz questions have come from announcements, I would think. I'm sure you have a good reason to make sure we read the announcements. I can not post them because I'm not an administrator or moderator. I just can't do it captain, I don't have the power.

When I notice them or when they contain something that pertains to me I read them, with the dragon egg annoucement I was all over that! Normally has to catch my attention first which these days is hard to do! I guess I do normally read the announcements in the forum but I havn't been as much recently because Im hardly online on here anymore! Im sure there are many katkwiz's that came from them, probably 20% because you have to get your information somewhere so Im guessing its a pretty high percent! Sure I do, you're trying to make sure that we can all use thecatsite to its fullest abilities and and what we can and cant do I guess.... I am not able to post announcements because Im not the administrator or a moderator! I was looking and every announcement there is is a sticky too... which really confuses me because it says that they are above the stickys... Couldn't prove it by me, what am I missing?

to be honest, i rarely read the announcements - unless i see a reference in another thread & decide i should check it out. i just usually run out of time! if you're looking for guesses about how may times you've gotten contest answers from them, this is mine - i'm going for 74%. i understand why you choose them for questions - makes more people read them!
afaik, i'm not able to post announcements... i think you have to be a mod to do so?

I noticed I got 2 PMs with a prize, and I thought Perci and Alley might have accidentally sent 2 PMs by accident.

But in answer to the new question, I do pay attention to any announcements on the first page, especially any sticky threads. At least, I think that is where most of the announcements take place. I've been going to forums for a long time now, and I just naturally look for any big things happening because I don't like missing anything, and if there's a new rule I don't want to not know about it and accidentally break it, lol.

And lol I guess I just sorta popped up outta nowhere
I guess I just found this site because I searched "cat forums" and this site was the first one, and then I found how awesome the site was, and now I come here every day, I never get tired of all the kitty stories, they just make me really happy (except for the sad ones
), and now I'm addicted I guess!

I try to look at new announcements whenever I see them, unless I know they do not apply to me...like the one asking people to remove dragons from their signatures, for example. I know announcements are important because I seem to always learn something from them, even if they don't appear to be important to me at the moment. Sometimes I'm able to refer back to old announcements and stickies when I have forgotten how to do something, too!

I have no clue how many questions you've created from announcements, but I'm sure it's quite a few. I know there have been at least a couple since I started playing along!

I think you probably want to make certain everyone is updated on announcements because they are important! If you don't read them, you may miss information that you really need to know about, like what size siggy you can have, or important changes happening around The Cat Site.

I'm not a moderator, administrator or even a forum leader...so I'm sure I cannot post announcements. I don't know why I'd ever want to anyway, because I don't know anything that would be important enough to create a sticky thread or announcement.

there are 5 secret words. the 1st person to use one of them wins points. this is in addition to KatKwiz points if you've won there.
all of the points i have were won via KatKwery, because i'm usually not online in time to answer the KatKwiz. & i'm currently in 4th place, so it's worth the time to answer the Kweries!
