I just checked the Weather channel to see what the current situation is with the tropical storm update, and they were talking about the situation in your area. The Chicago area is getting really bad weather right now, and apparently there have been tornadoes and straight-line winds that are causing a lot of damage. The storms seem to be headed your way.

Do you have a basement that you can go to, or maybe go to a friend or relative that does? Do you have a battery operated radio to keep you informed, in case the power goes out? How about flashlights and/or candles, and extra canned food & water, just in case? And don't forget to stock up for Popsie, too! Please get ready for any emergencies, before the storms hit your area! I've been through a tornado & straight-line winds when I lived in Wisconsin, and those straight-line winds can be even more damaging than tornadoes sometimes, b/c they can go on for hours. I also went through Hurricane Rita, and the damage from that was horrible.

I don't mean to scare you, but you need to take precautions while you can.
