Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years, and any separation from you will be very painful.

Give me time to understand what you want from me.

Place your trust in me - it is critical for my well-being.

Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment. I HAVE ONLY YOU!

Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I understand your voice when it's speaking to me.

Be aware that however you treat me, I'll never forget it.

Before you go to hit me, remember that I have teeth that could easily crush the bones in your hand, but I chose not to bite you.

Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I've been lying in the sun too long, I don't feel well, or my heart may be getting old and weak.

Take care of me when I get old. You, too, will grow old.

Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, "I can't bear to watch it" or "Let it happen in my absence." Everything is easier for me if you are there.

This is on the flier of the foster org that just took a feral momma and her four kittens for us, K.I.S.S. Inc. (Kitties In-need-of Someone Special).

Just wanted to share.

Any pet lover can identify with this, and it doesn't matter what kind of pet. We have pets because we love them and they love us with loyalty.

Since I just lost one of my dear kitties last night to kidney failure, I read these with a heavy heart, making sure I treated him exactly the way the commandments said to.

That is very sweet.

Who would ever hit their kitty though?
I hope that's not a common thing with pet-owners.

I feel so guilty for leaving my kitty to get a place of my own a couple years ago. I mean, I was going to college and needed to move out of my parents house at that time. But Rahja lived at home and needed to stay there. I hope he forgives me for leaving him.
I'm back at home now, still going to school. But I couldn't imagine leaving him again!

Yes...we must always remember that we are our kitties world.
