Add KristyKitty to the list of those wanting not just the 700 points won today for using the word better, but the 111,808 points for winning the KatKwery Bowl, and not to even mention the unique avatar especially made for the 2008 KatKwery Bowl champion designed by Alley. With 58 more games before the end of the season, anybody can still win!
And Glitch has now almost caught luvmycat1 by using the word how. No users of the words common, afraid, or before.

Today's KatKwiz was about saving PMs to your phone (or other device).

Before today, did you know that you could do that? Can you think of a good reason for wanting to do that? What about the fact that there are limitations to how many PMs you can have stored; and while on the subject, are you aware of the various amounts of PMs that various TCS members can have? Do you just have the standard IN and OUT folders or do you have your PMs stored in a logical (to you) filing scheme? What about me, do you think I probably have a separate Persi and a separate Alley folder?

I didn't know about saving PMs to your phone. That's pretty neat. I can't think of a reason I would want to but I'm sure people do. I don't mind the fact that there is a limit to PM storage. I'm also aware that certain levels have different amounts of storage. I just use a standard in and out folder, I don't get fancy with it.
I think you probably don't have a seperate Persi and Alley folder.

I had no clue that you could save PMs to a phone or other outside device. Cool! I can't think of any good reason for it, but it is still cool!

I usually delete the majority of my PMs since my inbox doesn't store very many. I have no filing system in place since I don't keep very many of my PMs. I suppose if I were a more frequent visitor here at TCS I would have more PMs and would want to separate my PMs so I could easily find a specific one if needed.

I bet you have a folder for both of the kitties plus folders for both Kwery and Kwiz related PMs.

no, but i've never researched it... don't really see the need for doing it, plus it would probably cost money using my current plan... i'm ok w/the storage limit, for now - i delete stuff i don't want to keep anymore. that could change if i ever reach my limit [& yes, i'm aware of the different limits!]. i just have the standard IN & OUT folers - haven't seen the need for more... i also keep them collapsed most of the time. knowing you - you probably have multiple folders!

I actually have PM's from other forums sent directly to my phone. But I really dont think going to all the trouble to save them as text and upload them would be really worth it! I mean, why in heavens name would you want to have all your private messages on your phone? Unless of course it had important information like their phone number in which case would be understandable but besides that I think its pointless! I know there is different perks per user title you earn! When you're a kitten you only get 10 pms and I was never so happy as to get to the point where I had been here long enough and posted enough to get 20! Now with the paying membership I get 500 and the weird thing is that I never knew how much time I spent erasing stuff up until I got the membership! I go to almost the max before I delete them now! Talk about handy! I do have different folders for different PM's that I want to keep, I have one special for important information that I want to save so I can always have it, like if I need to call someone and Ive been given their phone number I save it to "things to keep" and I can go back and look it up! Im pretty sure you probably have different folders, Probably one for katkwiz and one for katkwery and a couple for things unrelated to them! I have a folder specially for a member on here, it just has her name on it and I keep them in there! I wish it went to where its suppose to go automatically but thats impossible! I guess its not to hard having to check a box and then click on the move to folder button and then select the folder! I delete my outbox without even thinking about it because I already know whats in there and I like that my inbox is up at all times!

Congratulations on getting a new phone! thats always fun!! Im curious to know if you actually sent your pm's to your phone though!

Anyways I had no idea you could save PM's to your phone. I don't use my phone for internet or anything, so I don't think I'd ever use that. I also didn't even know you could have separate folders, lol. So I am just learning a lot here
I don't think I have enough posts to have more than 10 PMs right now. But if I needed to save some, I think I'd just take a screen shot. I think that would be easiest.

I bet you have separate folders for all your kitties
I have separate folders for all my pictures of each kitty
It just keeps things organized.

I never thought about saving my PMs since I rarely get a PM unless it is from you telling me I have won points for KatKwery or KatKwiz. The only other PMs I get is regarding the tournaments in Cat Games. I knew there was a limit on how many PMs you can have stored, 500 for paying members and it depends on how many posts you have for non-paying members. I have just the basic In Box Out Box since I have so few. I doubt that you have separate boxes for Persi and Alley. But Persi probably thinks he should have an In Box all his own since he is the star!

Nope, didn't know you could save your PMs to your phone. Still not sure how! When I'm done replying, I'll have to go look up the KatKwiz! Not a clue how that would be possible... Send them like a TM? Man, that'd get expensive! Not sure why you'd want to, either. Sentimentality? Maybe if there's info, like the directions to the meet up! Sorry, the KatKliq.
But wouldn't that use up memory on your phone? I guess if it's just one or two, like with info like that, it'd be ok.

What about the limit of PMs... Hah, I just realized that that says P.M.S. I just can't escape that right now!
Anyway, back on topic. I seem to have just received a higher limit! I checked the other day and noticed that I have 40 allowed, and I thought I only had 30... I musta made another limit / level of sorts! Yay!
I think it's fine that there's a limit- gotta save TCS memory and funds! It costs them money to save all those, too. If someone's really sentimental, they can copy and paste them to Word and save them that way. Besides, it's kind of fun to gain a higher limit, like I just did! It's exciting.
Not sure what the limits per level are, except that whatever one I was at I think had 30 as a limit and the new one I'm at has 40!


Wow, didn't even know we could do folders on this one. I have it that way on my Outlook email! But not on TCS. I don't get enough or important enough PMs to organize them like that, anyway. Any I get are usually just chatting, mainly gift related. So no, even though we aparantly can have folders, I have no reason to!

Hmm... No, I don't think you have a separate Persi and an Alley folder. I imagine you have them labeled "me", "KatKliq", "KatKwiz / Kwery", and "Kats".

Congratulations! Glad you decided to join us! That's what I love about this game (the KatKwery), you just answer, you don't have to be right!
The other one, the KatKwiz, you do have to be right on. To see more info on how to play, you can click on the links in Persi&Alley's signature. I'll give you a little insight, though- the answer doesn't have to be right, you just have to use the right words! Which is easier said than done.

actually, you have enough posts - just not enough days in membership.
To get full Young Cat status you must have 20 posts and 30 days in membership
Then you get:
  • 20 stored PMs
  • 15 additional avatars to choose from
  • Access to Cat Pages
To get full Adult Cat status you must have 100 posts and 30 days in membership
Then you get:
  • 20 stored PMs
  • 20 additional avatars to choose from
  • 40 Kb in uploaded attachments
  • Access to Cat Pages
  • Posting access to IMO, if over 18.
