The kittens are just 3 1/2 weeks old now. I put a low litter pan in the room, and introduced them all to it. What do I do now? Do I set them in it often? Also, when do I start giving them kitten food. At this time, Murphy is still nursing, of course... but when do I start with kitten food?

Keep putting them in the pan. If the pee or poop outside, use a tissue and wipe it up or place it in the pan. Kittens go by scent and if you put it where its supposed to be they will catch on. Expect accidents over the next few weeks.

If the kittens are still nursing from mom and she's not rejecting them, then let them be - I don't even start introducing solid food till they are 5-6 weeks old cause they are not interested in it and you frustrate yourself trying.

When they are ready to sample what mom is eating then start them on canned kitten food and KMR - make it kinda thick soupy and put a dab on your finger and push it in their mouth a little or let them lick it off. I do this 2-3 times a day and they all are eating canned food in about a week after introducing it.

Please plan on keeping the kittens and mom together for at least 10-12 weeks old to learn important social/mental development. Its more then just using a litter pan and eating solid foods.

I am waiting until they show an interest in solid food. I am putting a pan today. They just turned 4 weeks.

They will all be fixed. They are only 3 weeks old right now, so there is a little time before the kits need to be worried about with fixing. As soon as they are weaned, Murphy will be spayed.
