Sometimes walmart or other store garden centers will haven them. You could try looking in the yellow pages for nurseries near you and call to ask if they have any. That way you'd be more likely to get a larger and healthier plant.

I could try the Tropical Fish and Feed Store and a few Nurseries.
I am going to buy some fruit trees anyway.

They have them at the Chabot Space and Science Center!!

So when you come out this way for the meet up, it's only another hour or so from the restaurant!

Of course, they're just small things, made to entertain kids, but they work! I had a quite happy fly trap and, oh, what's the other one... The tube one.

So if you can't find one by then and are desperate, we know where you can fall back on!
Though everyone else's ideas are much better!

How do you guys keep them alive? We've never been able to keep one alive without having it in a makeshift terrarium, and then you miss out on all the fun of watching them catch flies.

My brother used to have one when we were kids. He used to catch flies and pull off it's wings
and put it in the pod and it shapped shut on the fly.

I assume they need to be watered like any plant.
