Pray for our oldest "son" Caesar, today. Maybe I am just imagining things... he is a 7 or 8 year old Persian. DBF has told me that Persians don't live as long. Well the past couple weeks Caesar has been tinkling in inappropriate places. I made sure it wasn't the litter boxes. I've heard that doing that is the first sign of illness. DBF doesn't think he needs to go to the vet. He is playing and seems to be eating like normal. This morning he did not move from the bed except to change positions and even when I opened the cat food he stayed. He didn't even purr when I petted him and he ALWAYS always purrs like crazy. Maybe/hopefully I am just being paranoid but I don't know. He is the sweetest guy and I would be so torn up if I lost him. Maybe he was just extra tired and cozy today in the bed.

for Caesar.

This situation screams "vet visit ASAP." Between the inappropriate elimination and the lethargy/change in behavior, it is very likely that he needs medical attention. Please don't wait, because an untreated UTI could kill him if enough time elapses.

I lost Frisky that way.

It definitely sounds like he has a problem and needs to see a vet asap.

vibes to Caesar! What a cute name.

Like everyone has said, I would go to the vet. You obviously love your kitty very much, and your instinct as an owner told you something was wrong. I would follow those instincts and take him to the vet, even if your BF doesn't think so. Your kitty counts on you to care for him
Don't doubt your feelings, just take him in
Better safe than sorry.
