How is your family doing? I've thought about you and them a few times today. Hope everything is okay, and you guys are still in my thoughts and prayers.
Thanks for thinking of us. I'm going to see my uncle on Wednesday as he has just finished up his chemo treatments and will be coming home tomorrow. The good news is that he is in a lot less pain now- has new pain meds that are working well for him, and hes got an appetite again!!!
He's been able to get out of his wheelchair a little, which is great.
Unfortunately, his cancer is very agressive and has spread throughout his whole body, attaching itself to most of his vital organs. There isn't much hope that he will live much longer than 6 months, but the doctors are hoping that with his chemo and new medication he will have a good quality of life for the next little while.
I guess this is the time that his family needs to spend as much time with him as they can, and he needs to do the things that make him happy.
A few years ago, he and his eldest son had a major falling out and they havent' spoken since. The family has spoken to his son about going to see him, and the regrets he'll have if he doesn't, but hes being stubborn and won't give in
Please keep him and his son in your thoughts/prayers- they both need to have a change of heart before its too late.
OH my gosh Melissa..Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family...I know this is a difficult time, and sometimes you never really are prepared for the loss of a loved one....((((((HUGS)))))))
I have you guys in my thoughts hon. It's a good thing that he's got his appetite back and is getting out the wheelchair on his own some.
Cancer recently took the life of one of Craig's family members, and it was rough on the entire family. I'm sending *hugs*, thoughts, and prayers your way.
