Good morning Friends....
....
Maybe this would be a really silly question but I´m really don´t understand...

Catulina has a Internal Clock...
...HOW?...every morning our day start around 6:30 am, we usually use our Cell phone as alarm,....WELL one minute before the cell begins to sound,
...SHE begins with her "Meows", to I stand up and give her breakfast...
It happen that I for some reason open an eye at 6:15 am and she´s wandering around the room in silence, she sits under our hammock without some noise or go at the window to watch out, BUT when is the 6:29 am she begins with her concert!...
...I repeat BEFORE the Alarm begins to sound.....

I mean, ......HOW SHE KNOWS the hour???????????....
....
The worse is Milky came too to make chorus with her....
...

Yes, I have one like that too. I haven't needed an alarm clock in years. He sits on the side of me in bed and pokes me on my cheek with his paw, exactly the same time every morning. Some times I do believe they can tell time.

My dogs always starts cuddling with me 30 minutes before the alarm goes off. I finally figured out that our AC/heat is set to come on 30 minutes before we get up - they were reacting to the air blowing in the room or the sound of the blower.
I wonder if the alarms give off some special sound, that they can hear, just before the alarm goes off.

I do think animals can instinctually tell time, some maybe even down to the minute! My cats wake my parents up every morning, at 3 am, then at 4 am, then at 5 am
Rahja will come wake me up if I've been sleeping for too long, and he decides it's time to get up and give him attention.

But it's so much nicer to wake up from a kitty than a loud alarm clock!

Sport is the same way. 5:30 is his time. Whick I'm glad works for me, because it is earlier that most would like.

Ku Ku wakes me up if I don't wake up after alarm goes off.
Funny thing is, though, she never wakes me up on the weekend

I must say she is definitely my feline alarm clock, and a personal manager, she looks after me

On sundays we usually try to sleep more than usual....
try to stand up to around 9:00 am, and the Saturday at night before to go to bed we talking so seriously with boths saying:...

"Well kiddos, you know tomorrow is sunday please don´t wake up us early
, the breakfast is at 9:00 am,...so Good night!"....

AND AWESOME!...
they sleep until 8:55 am!....
....the concert begins at that hour.....
.....CAN´T Believe that they can´t talk with ME!....

I think, too, that cats are such creatures of rituals and routines that they will stay on the same schedules unless something dramatic deters them. Mine get up at exactly the same time every day and stay up for four hours, then all go for their naps, another four hours, then get up again, etc.

I don't have to look at my clock much. I know what time it is by seeing what they're doing.

I'm lucky in that they don't usually wake me. They tend to sleep if I am sleeping, get up the minute I do (something called "food" has a lot to do with it!)

They're truly amazing.

tabitha has a 5am clock no matter what day it is! but the boys are like yours and will hold off on the 'wake up mum' rituals on the weekends and holidays.

i wonder if it is that we are releasing a different smell (stay with me on this one!) cos we are more relaxed on the weekend? it does seem strange.

Sunny wakes me up at 6:15am on the dot each and every morning. Since the alarm goes off 5 minutes later, I usually think it's a good idea to try to shut my eyes and go back to sleep for a few more minutes. Sunny does not stand for it - he lays on my throat. This wakes me up immediately much to his delight.

Lucky and Gus both start singing at the bedroom door at 7 am. My alarm is set for 7:15. I just wish they knew the difference between weekday and weekend

My Bellah , used to come down stairs at midnight to " yell " at me so I would go to bed , so DH would feed her. She was just like clock work.

always got me up 15 minutes before the alarm went off. I figure he was trying to make sure I wasn't late.
He wanted his breakfast on time. Nabu and Stimpy aren't sticklers for a schedule, and don't usually get me up. The little brats usually sleep in.
