Some days at work are just like any other and you may think, well, why would you want to take photos of that.

Some days at work are full of meetings and you may again wonder why a person would want to take photos of that.

But then....some days....you get to go to a meeting someplace really nice
. That happened for me in late Spring (yeah I know, it takes ages to post about these things
) So, whilst everyone else was eating lunch, I was taking photos before the rain came down.

So you see, sometimes, going to work is not so bad

With pleasure! The meetings were just....meetings but the setting was lovely.

It really is - we had been there once before and when I knew that we were going back I knew that I just had to take the camera.

The job doesn't really go with the setting, I'm a lecturer at a University. We were all taken off-site for a day of meetings. I don't eat much at lunchtime so had a lovely walk exploring the grounds instead.

Thanks for your lovely comments guys

The house dates back, in parts, to the 1500s, there was a lot of renovation work carried out from 1850 onwards. During the majority of its life it was the ancestral home of one family. It is also said that a future King of England had an affair with a servant woman of the house.

The first time we were there a few years ago, our meetings were held in the old part of the house - the inside is absolutely stunning. It has beautiful painted ceilings, stained glass windows and a stunning staircase. I was hoping that we would be in that part of the building again so that I could take some photos, but we were in the modern extension to it this time.
