Our only polar bear, Debbie, who is the oldest polar bear in the world is dying

She's beautiful! I remember when she first came here. My dad took me to see her when she was just a baby, and I've gone to see her many times over the years.

I'm so sad
But she's had a full life and she was treated very well, and loved by many.

poor girl, i hope that if/when she does pass she goes quick and it's painless.
she is such a beautiful bear- it seems like soo many people have fallen in love with her too -41 yrs is a good life- i am glad she's been well cared for there.

Growing up in Denver, I saw in our zoo a polar bear name Velox. He lived there for a long time, and he was extremely popular. He was also blind, which is not mentioned in much of the stuff I can find about him.
