Computer question:posting a GIF

I have been trying to post a GIF, like the ones that say welcome in the New Cats forum. Do I attach them like a picture Attachment or a link like a photo from imagestation? I have been finding a few on the net and i save them in 'my pictures' windows XP. I would like to use them. Thank you.

I always link mine from ImageStation! If you find it on a Smilies site like this one, you can link it directly from the site!

just to warn ya... some sites DO NOT want you to direct link. It is stealing bandwidth and eating up peoples money. I had alittle direct linking problem with my blinkies and had to remove them all change there names and then upload them again. So just make sure that it is okay for the site before you direct link
