We woke up to a very nice ! storm this morning. Rain and strong winds. When DH got up he came to tell me that our neighbors tree was laying across the lawns! I said "WHAT????" - looked out and here their one tree is split and laying across the lawn and driveway.

Our car and truck are parked on the street; neighbor's car in the driveway and the tree didn't touch any of them! We hopped in the truck to cruise the neighbrohood and damage. Downed trees in the roads, lawns, etc. Almost ever house had branches all over the place.

The truly amazing thing (God controlled every tree) was that the trees were on the lawn or road. Only 2 houses had a tree on them - one with minor damage to the gutters and another had the back porch damaged but that house was not occupied. A few cars had some tree branches on them but NO major damage to them. If some of those trees had fallen the other way - many houses would have major damage and holes in the roofs!

I don't think it was that bad here, but I wouldn't know....I slept through it all.
I didn't see any trees down in my yard or anything....

Since the storm was over here sooner then your area, the winds died down traveling across the state.....

I was at work yesterday morning when the sirens went off because the radar was indicating a possible tornado nearby. Since I work at a nursing home, we had to get all the residents out of their rooms and away from the windows and etc. It got really dark for awhile, but it diidn't amount to much, just some rain and a little bit of wind.
