Anyone know of a good working model of littermaid?

I've been doing research on littermaid, and it seems the new models dont work as good as the old models. I figured, maybe I can find a older one on ebay, but I am not sure which models are considered good. Anyone here using one without any real issues? I shouldnt have too much issue with overloading it as I just have one kitten.

Thanks,
Shaun

i have [or have had] all 3 models. my personal favorite is the basic model - it's the oldest one i have, & still doing just fine.
the newest one - thought i would like it, i don't - pee clumps will get stuck behind the rake & i can't get them until it cycles. the middle one is better than the newest, but i still prefer the original to any of the newer ones. i also don't like the fact that the scoops & containers aren't the same for the newest one.
here's the basic
mid-grade one
newest
next time one of them dies, i'm spending the big $$$ for the litter-robot - i think it's probably a wiser use for my money.

The only issue I see with that is it isnt for cats under 5 lbs according to their site. It sure looks like a pretty good design though.

I think I will look for that basic model you are using.

What kind of litter are you using with it?

none of mine are under 5 pounds!
i use ScoopAway, when i can find the unscented version. when i can't, i use Petsmarts brand - i think it's Exquisicat - also unscented. the ScoopAway clumps harder, so i prefer it to the Exquisicat, even tho it's a bit more expensive.
