In Heat??

Mishka is acting INSANE!!! She is being EXTREMELY vocal... and not just normal meow's either.... these are long, drawn out... almost howling meows. She is rolling all around on the floor and licking more than usual also. I know this is a rookie question... but is it safe to assume she is in heat???

she's 10 months.... and i did the scratch test...... she's definitely in heat!!!
How long does it usually last??? I am getting her spaid next month....

It depends on the Cat. My Coco that could not be fixed goes in heat for about 7 days at a time but she dosent roll on the floor anymore. She is 16 now though. Some Cats can go in heat non stop for months it really depends.
