I took them out on the deck today. I'm trying to teach them to walk with something controlling them, which ATM is just a leash around the neck... considering we will probably keep Piper and she will be indoor as well as a 4-H cat, I'd like her to be harness trained.

Glad to see the kittens didn't eat the warning on this one! They are beautiful! Good luck with the harness training.

Nurse says, yup, she ODed on cuteness!!

Those two are just SO PRECIOUS!! I love that last one of Piper licking her cute little spotted nose.

They look like they know you are their safety zone. What darlings!!

Well I wish there were more of you at our shelter. Any cat with black on it takes weeks to adopt. It's sad. It doesn't help that Poppy has a nasty personality... rather aloof, not really feral, but 'playful' to the point of annoyance. Maybe I'm just used to Piper's friendliness.

Poppy looks a LOT like Wickett did as a kitten.

That is sad. I was thumbing through my local paper yesterday when I saw the featured pet from our HS. It was a DSH black boy 3yo who's been there since Sep. 2006.

oh they are just adorable! kitten cuteness overload!

i'm also saddened by this seemingly international dislike of black and or black/white cats. much as i can appreciate the beauty of a coloured cat, i have always thought that black cats have something a little special about them. you never get that shiny sleek look with any other colour.

both the black cats i have had have also had this endearing dumbness about them.
my rb boy sinbad definitely had butterflies inbetween his ears and shinobi is similar to him in so many ways.

and that is heartbreaking to think of that poor kitty in the shelter for nearly 2 years.
