My Murray had slept with me just about every night since he first moved in with me, back in 2004. And I loved having his soothing, cuddly presence beside me in the night. But since we moved to our new apartment, which has a very nice walk-in closet in the bedroom (for which I leave the door open), Murray has pretty much stopped sharing my bed, in favor of sleeping in the closet. I feel a little bit "abandoned," since he apparently prefers the cozy closet to snuggling up with me.

Another change in behavior has occurred since we made the move: The sun lights up the apartment sooner than it did at the house we used to live in, because my windows now face east, so Murray is up bright and early and runs around the apartment (and sometimes grabs at my feet in bed), waking me up, at like 5 a.m. So I guess I'll be glad when the days are shorter and, hopefully, he'll let me sleep a little later!

That's an idea, thanks. I give him a snack at bedtime now, anyway. So I might as well give him the snack in bed...
