need help with 1 cutie

Let me start by saying I have 10 cats and 2 dogs in our happy little home,then i came upon a cute little male,approx 1 year or so old,and marked black and white tuexdo. I took him to be neutered and they called and told me he has FIV.Broke my heart, then broke again thinking i have to give him up.I have called everyone i know and they all have numerous animals.I do not have the room in the house to have him separate.We live in Birmingham, Alabama..If anyone has any ideas i would welcome them...thanks

You are a wonderful person to try and help this cat. I'm sorry that I do not know anything about FIV. Is there such a thing as a false positive with the test? Just wondering if it would benefit in getting retested.

In my area (central Mississippi) an employee at the pet store fosters cats with feline leukimia and feline aids. Maybe if you called some of the pet stores and shelters to ask if they know of anyone that fosters cats with FIV.
