After using the litter box, my cat scratches the sides of it and/or all around the outside of the box and/or on anything handy around the box. I think maybe she's trying to clean her feet. Would she like or does she need a little piece of carpet near the litter box or something?

. My little Sport is a clean freak too. He even lets me whipe his paws and his face, it's like he really knows I'm cleaning him. To the point that it's spooky. He does that with a lot of things. But back on topic, yes, a peice of carpet or something for your kitty to clean itself of a very, very good idea. A clean kitty is a happy kitty...LOL

I always thought Seldon was saying Pee-U. I never thought he was wiping his feet only because I see him and Cleo do that if I set out food they don't like. The scratch around it and I know it means they don't like it.
But maybe it is cleaning their feet.
