Your clam bake looks so good Karen.

And I will be receiving mine when????

I bought some pork chops on sale this morning, cooked them all early, then froze some for another day.
This evening, I will be enjoying a pork chop with mashed potatoes and a veggie.
Not very adventurous but yummy.

That clam bake looks really good!

John is gone until tomorrow sometime, and I'm missing him too much to eat anything so I'll skip dinner tonight... even though I know that's not a very smart thing to do!

I'm trying something new (at least, it's the first time I've seen one). I stopped at Kroger's on the way home from work last night, and in the meat section, I found a Tyson brand prepared chuck roast. It was a 2 pound roast, a seasoning packet, red potatoes, onions, carrots and celery already cleaned, pared and chopped, made for a slow cooker.

I loaded it up in the cooker just a little after 8 am, and it's smelling really, really good.

I'm in Vermont right now! So we're having Gill's grinders for dinner.
They're are the best grinders in Rutland, Vermont. Absolutely amazing!

I just finished baking some of Martha Stewart's Milk Chocolate cookies (soft and chewy and soooooo rich!), but besides that, I've made one of my favorite summer chopped salads: spinach, romaine, grilled chicken, celery, cucumbers, peas, red grapes, tiny cooked penne pasta & artichoke hearts. Dressing is one I make that's got white balsamic, cooked with sugar and orange-essence olive oil.

Every other night when this question is asked, I give this gourmet dinner menus because I love to cook. Friday is my night off, so we have pizza!

Tonight it's leftover spaghetti with mozzarella.

And a chocolate chip cookie (or two or three or four) for dessert.

Today is my birthday so I am going to friends' house for dinner. I have a feeling they have something special planned but they're keeping it a secret, so I'll find out when I get there what is for dinner!
(I hope they have matzoh ball soup...they know that's my favorite.

That Clambake looks WONDERFUL, Karen!! Can't get there in time for dinner, so I won't crash the party -- this time. Guess I'll just have to take a pork tenderloin out of the freezer and do something BBQ-ish with it. That's as far as I've gone in planning.
