I got a job

It's at a place called BetterWorldBooks. They buy and sell books online and it's basically a giant book warehouse. The only bad thing is it's first shift and I'm not a morning person. I suppose I'll get used to it though.

Congratulations! Don't worry, you will get used to it. I am not a morning person at all, but I have been working first shift for over a year and a half now and it is finally not so bad.

You'll probably like first shift, most people do, because after work you have time to do other things! If you worked second shift you could easily sleep till almost time to go to work and then when you get off its time to go to bed! Congrats on the job!

Congrats! I, too, am a night owl. I almost died the semester at college when I had to get up for an 8 am class.

A year after I had our daughter, I went back to work and found a vanpool that left at 6 am for SF. I was doing hot-line support then, so my boss loved how early I got there for our east coast customers. I had to get up at 5:30. I could shower, eat, dress and walk down to the vanpool stop. I always left my hair wet and took a curling iron with me. Started in Dec. Somewhere around the time when it was light later, my fellow vanpoolers said, oh you have pretty hair!

So, have a shower, get dressed, have breakfast and fix yourself up later.

After that job, I set my own hours.
