Hi guys,

Which one is better? Wellness Core / Orijen? Also, for people who feed their cats Wellness Core, how was your cat's stool?

My cat is still a kitten... so would it be better to feed the core line, or the kitten one?

The reason why I asked is because I'm currently feeding my cat Orijen... and she's having problems with loose stool even though I did the transition correctly. When she was on Felidae, she was fine... but I don't like the fact that they changed the formula so I'm not going to buy Felidae anymore.

If you guys know any other brands that are ' gentle ' for my kitten's digestive system, please let me know! Thanks.

Hi, I'm new at this, but I've been doing a LOT of reading, and what I understand is: if you have a kitten, give her the kitten food line, since it has more protein and nutrients that they need to grow than the adult cat recipes.

BOTH foods are NO grain and ALL stage foods.. so kitten vs adult does NOT play in ...

IMHO I like orijen as it worked better here YMMV

My kitten loves Wellness Core and did not get loose stools

My older cat was getting loose stools from Blue Buffalo, so I switched back to her Science Diet (i'm trying to wean her off this) and I'm mixing in little bits of Wellness Core.

My goal is to have both kitties eating Wellness Core.

My cats refused Wellness Core but love Orijen. No problem with loose stools from that. How long has your kitten been eating Orjien? Maybe she just isn't transitioned yet.

Some foods are just too rich for some cats and kittens, low carb dry just might not be the way to go with your kitten.

Personally, my 5 prefer Orijen over Wellness Core and Evo but it is all personal preference with them, Magnum will just walk away if he doesn't like a food. They seem to get 'excited' about dinner time with Orijen - but it isn't for everyone no different than with people.
