I was watching my two cats wrestle this morning. And now I know why my big boy Harry has been wary of my little 3-legged girl Misty lately.
I was a little worried when I got them five months ago that the larger male might hurt the smaller, disabled female when they went at it, but I guess I didn't have to worry. She's definitely the aggressor. She jumps on him, tries to bite him (doesn't really succeed, though), chases him, etc. And he's all on the defensive.
Maybe it is left over from the fact that she's the "older sister" as their previous owners got Harry as a kitten after they had Misty. Harry could probably paste Misty now, since he's quite a bit larger (probably weighs 50% more).
I guess it goes to show that as with people, those who are more assertive/aggressive get their own way, not those who are bigger/stronger/smarter/etc.
