Hi, I just discovered this forum and I think it will be great to communicate with others who love their cats. I have a female Siamese named Pete. I am a teacher. She is named after "Pete the Barn Cat" from the Hank the Cowdog Series that I have read to my students. I had always wanted a Siamese and my husband and daughters got her for me about 4 years ago. Pete wants to be with us, but she will only sit on our laps and tolerate petting when she is alone with only one person. She will walk on a leash. She does not like to drink water from a bowl. We have to go in the bathroom and turn the water on for her. I guess you can say that she has us trained.
