Over the river and through the woods...
We'll be married 3 years in October. DH was sick the day after the wedding, so we didn't actually leave for our Honeymoon until Tuesday (married on Saturday). We went to Williamsburg VA for 3 days, and of course it rain most of the time we were there so we didn't get a chance to see a lot of the attractions. We did go on a "Ghost Tour" Thursday night. We figured it would be about 30-45 minutes. Over 2 hours later, we were still walking and there were no signs of it ending! So, we finally skipped out the back, went back to bed and babied our sore feet!

From there we went to Charlotte NC for a Nascar race (DH planned that part of the honeymoon...surprise
) but it was GREAT! I was lukewarm about Nascar before that but after being there live and in person, I'm completely hooked now! I just wish we could have split up the trip home because 8 hours on I81 just about gave me a nervous breakdown!

The worst thing was coming back home and realizing there wasn't anything more to look forward to. To quote Monica from "Friends", "I'm not a bride anymore...I'm just someone's wife!

Hubby and I have been married 1 year and 4 days and I remember every second of our honeymoon to Gatlinburg, Tennessee

We didn't live together before being married so our honeymoon was extra special. We did very little sight-seeing and just spent the week enjoying the calm and quiet of the mountains.

We'll be celebrating our 10th anniversay Feb '09. We did a 3 day Disney cruise/4 day Disney World package deal. I don't remember all the details- motion sickness while on the cruise; a blast in Disney World. It was lots and lots of walking. Every night hubby & I sit side by side by the tub, feet in warm water & just relax. Then we give each other foot massages with lotion I brought (knew we're going to need it). Oh yeah, I had Mickey Mouse shaped icecream at least once a day! We went in November and there were no lines in all the rides.

I'm divorced now, but I would have been married 6 years next month. I remember everything about my ex's and I's honeymoon to Kauai, it was a lot of fun and very pretty there
I think I remember it more for being a great trip rather than my honeymoon

Interesting how 1/2 remember, 1/2 don't. To confess, I really don't remember very much of my 1st honeymoon with my ex - only where it was (in Pocono Mts in Pennsylvania) and our cabin had a fireplace - I honestly do not remember anything else.

6 years last February? WOW! 6 years last January for us and even though we have travelled to 18 countries together since then, we only went to New Orleans for our Honeymoon. Of course when you hang out on Bourbon Street you don't have the crystal clear memory that you have of yours!

Been married a little under 6 months ...

We went on a 7 day Caribbean cruise to Nassau, St. Thomas & St. Maarten. I remember all of it, as well as the drive to and from Cape Canaveral. We're already planning on another next year

I married my high school sweetheart. We've been together for over 20 years, but have been married for 18. We went to The Falls for our anniversary and I remember some of it... well the important parts anyway.

We got married last year on a cruise ship. We took 30 family and friends with us on a 7 day cruise to Mexico and the Bahamas. I will always remember it. We had such a good time.

We decided to do it this way so we could enjoy it longer. Most weddings are over in a few hours and you don't get alot of time to spend with your guests. By doing the cruise we got to spend 7 days with them and when we wanted time to ourselves we just went and did things on our own since there was so much to do on the ship we weren't all obligated to spend every waking moment together.

Love it!!

DH and I are fairly unconventional. We joke that we had our honeymoon in Hawaii (the Big Island) a year before we married. After the wedding, our honeymoon consisted of driving separate cars from Chicago to Houston. We stopped somewhere in Mississippi to take a break from the drive. I like to think that our life is our honeymoon. We'll be married 19 years on December 30th.

Our 34th anniversary will be in December; today is actually the 34th anniversary of the day we met. We got married on a Friday night, which was actually pretty unusual way back when. DH worked til noon that day--really. We were both so tired after the reception we just went to our local Holiay Inn and watched part of a terrible Joan Crawford movie called Trog. Fast forward to the next day--went to my folks' house to unwrap gifts. DH went back to work Monday morning.

Wow, that really sounds boring!

We will have been married 29 years on Sept 8th. We drove up the coast of California. Some of the highlights are when we stopped in Ventura. We didn't make reservations since we wanted to be spontaneous. We told the clerk at the counter we were on our honeymoon and he upgraded the room from the basic room to one of the larger suites! The view was awesome from our balcony. We stayed in a couple of dives but it was sooo nice. I remember eating breakfast at a place in Moro Bay called Peggy's. They really knew how to feed you!

So, unlike so many people, you can get the old joke:

What are pajamas? Articles of clothing kept beside the bed by newlyweds in case of fire.

32 years for me and my DH. We really didn't have a honeymoon, just went to the next town, spent the night, came home and went furniture shopping and went back to work on Monday morning. To this day, we have never really actually had a honeymoon.
