Top 3 in-home Care and Grooming products?

Last week, after reading enthusiastic posts from members who use a furminator style grooming tool on cats, I finally gave in and bought the purple cat Furminator.
Today, I funminated my 2 sweeties, for the second time.
It really works.

I can say with confidence that, for at home cat care, there are 3 products that have made a huge difference in the quality of my life with cats.

They are ...
1 - Packaged litter for indoor cats.
2 - Monthly "on the neck" flea control drops.
3 - A furminater style grooming tool.

Let's pool our favorites...
maybe we will discover some new goodies that will make our lives with cats even better.
What are your top 3, at home care and grooming products, that have made a positive difference in the quality of your life with cats?

I wish I could wash Dex and Sadie in the shower....
I don't think any of us would survive that experience.

Many of you are to young to remember what cat care was like before many products, that we now take for granted, became widely available.

I remember when "indoor only" cats were rare, because cat litter had not been invented yet.

I remember when fleas were impossible to control and and stinky flea collars and dangerous flea bombs that did not work, were the state of the art control.

It's a great time for cats and their care givers.

I've been looking at those furminators, especially for Jack because he's bringing fur balls up every week, but i've bought some new kibbles that Sharky mentioned in a thread so

Are they noisy?

Furminators are not mechanical Susan...
they are just like a brush...no sound.
Dex and Sadie love the feel of it.

Good nutrition is great but shedding is a natural and necessary process..
I am amazed at how sleek and clean Dex and Sadie's coats look now.
They are like Jack with short but thick fur.
Sadie has a down like undercoat, it cleans that out.
I think you would love it.

Oh they look great!. But the amount of fur that's coming off though, does it not thin their fur out??

I have only done it twice...
the instructions say to not do the same area over and over during a grooming session or a bald spot could occur.
Follow the instructions and all should be OK.

Because, in the past, I groomed Dex and Sadie once a week with a regular brush...
their sessions did not produce as much fur as in the video but still, it was a lot of fur that would have been in their tummies of all over our furniture.

From what other respected members have said, and from my experience, I think it would really help Jack.
Rosie and Sophie would love it too.

I love my Furminator, and so do my two DSH kitties! It was a great investment. I believe Furminator has a 30-day return policy of its own, and so does Petsmart, so it's a fairly safe thing to try.

We also love our water fountain and I love Cat Attract litter - thank goodness for Dr. Elsey.

I also love all the vet practices who now specialize in small animal care and who have so much lab equipment, such as ultrasounds, etc., in their practices. Sure, it's not cheap, but how many cats' lives have been extended through prompt diagnoses not available even 10 years ago.

I believe it was littleraven who says to be careful how much you Furminate, she gave one of her kitties a bald spot.

I love my furminator.
I love 3, 5, & 13 oz can sizes for wet food.
I love alternatives to clay kitty litter.

That was me. Thankfully Stimpy's hair has grown back in. It was rather embarrassing explaining to the vet that *I* caused Stimpy's bald spot. We went back to using the Zoom Groom most often.

My top 3 would be:

1. Scooping Cat Litter
2. Cat Fountain
3. Rubbermaid containers modified as litter boxes
