I adopted a brother/sister from same litter. They sleep with each other, play, snuggle. However at time he gets very rough with her while playing. He is alot bigger than her. The problem is sometimes she is asking for it. He will be sleeping and she pounces on him. He will then pin her down and they start wrestling. Many times she cant get up and starts squeaking. I think she doesnt realize how small she is at times!!

I am not sure if I should keep seperating them. Am I better getting a water bottle and squirting them when things are getting a little too rough?

I had pretty much the same thing with my two, brother/sister when they were younger. Things would get rough and she'd start meowing and run away even though she'd start it. I never separated them. The next thing you knew they'd be sleeping with paws around each other. Sometimes when he'd get too rough, he'd end up with a scratch on his nose. It never got violent and no one ever got hurt.

Usually males are a bit more rough then females in playing. But I'd be more concerned about getting them neutered/spayed by the time they are 3-4 months old. Kittens can breed and get pregnant at 4 months old and it takes a male up to 2 months to be "clean" after neutering and not get a female pregnant.

Be sure to clip all their nails and just let them work it out. Once spayed/neutered they will calm down some.

My girls sometimes squaks when playing with the boys who are about twice her size. She starts it though and can hold her own, they're pretty good about letting up on her when she makes a noise.
