Condolences on losing your precious Joey - the same name as my boy's! It could have been that he had something wrong from his rough beginning - when he was gone for those few days, maybe he'd had a seizure & got confused, which delayed his return.
You did so much for him - gave him the joys of a real home, with a family who treasured him, loved him, played with him, gave him toys, shelter, yummy food - and all those other gifts so dear to a little kitty's heart. Godspeed over RB, Joey - run swiftly to join our other dear RB kitties
