My cat loves it when I say.....??

What does your cat love to hear from you??

There was another thread that made me think this would be a fun idea!

Fiona likes it when I call her a "superstar" and she is playing with her mice or ball. She gets all frisky and riled up!

Ree Ree likes it when I say "Oh ReeRee!!" he gets all squinty eyed and rolls around on his back all happy.

We already established in the other thread (My cat is Latino) that Rocko likes it when I call him a good boy in spanish.

All you have to do around Persi to make him very happy is mention the word cheese!

All I have to do is say "It's time for treats, babies" and I see three little furry bodies come running from all over the house

Want some sweeties!!!, or want some dinner!!!

"want some goodies?" or "goodies for you, baby!". She'll be dashing to me

"Treat? Larry want a treat?!"

(Works every time. )

My cats love it when I say: I love you

Both my cats get all excited when we ask "are you hungry?" (The answer always seems to be YES! )

Tailer purrs whenever we say his name, and when I tell Forest he's a "pretty kitty" he'll flop onto his back for a belly rub.

"Snacks!" will turn the two of them from furry couch potatoes into furry ballistic missiles.
Other than that, "Belly belly belly" said in, of course, goofy baby talk voice, will get my Ginger to roll over

Treats, definitely treats

Mine like it when i say "bug, bug, bug".

Do I detect a trend here? Butzie loves it when I say, "nummies," and "Want to go out?"
Also, she like it when I call her "Butzala" because then she knows that it is loving time.

Same here- anytime i say "treat" I am immediately surrounded by 3 cats and 2 dogs

All your kitties are so funny! My cats seldom responded to the things I said, but rather the tone. If I used an excited tone they'd know its time to play. Wukong used to get excited when I said "cockroach!" cos he knew that meant there was a nasty critter in the house that ran around in a more alluring way when batted

"Brush?!"
"Kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty! Come here, girls!" That means "Hey, I have something to give you!"
To Polly, I say, "Chicken! Let's play!" and she purrs and coos and jumps around looking for the nearest toy. (Chicken or Chicken Noodle are some of her nicknames.)
If I tell Molly, "Oh, how's my beautiful girl?" she comes and purrs and kneads me. If I'm reading she lies down on my book so I can't read a word.

There are tons more things they respond to, but I couldn't list them all.

this is about my Dog but when ever someone says Twinkie he goes NUTS!! We think the people who had him before us fed him Twinkies.

"Bed?"

It means 'wet food and treats', but all it takes is bed.

LOL! Elsa loves it when I say, "I'm gonna get you!!!" she immediately rolls on her back for tummy rubs. It's quite handy since she sometimes goes out into the front yard and I need to catch her to get her inside.

Mine don't really respond to words, only sounds e.g. the sound of their food box being shaken They sure know what that means...
Linus slants his eyes and smiles at me whenever i say "prettybabyboy" in a baby voice teehee
post #22 of 30
Rocky loves when I call him "my sweet little boy." Oliver responds more to sounds, like their dishes being rattled or their dry food being scooped.
Ziggy loves it when I say, "Oh, there's my widdle guy!" He comes over and stretches his head up to me and does a loud, open-mouthed purr. I never get tired of that!

That works just as good as the words for my baby, too.

When I leave the house and Mitzi's hanging around outside I say "Bless you ween!" And she gives me little 'Blink Kisses'

BTW Ween is her most-used nickname

I will say Hi Mawy. Hi good girl and she collapses and rolls over. She also makes sweet chirrup noises when she does it.
Mommys baby boy is Cleo
Arent you a good boy is Seldon
The kittens have not caught on yet except when I click my tongue they know food is on its way.
Sweetie pie and Lucia blinks.
Tweety treats and Cleo, Mary and Seldon come running.

I talk to them all of the time.

Capone always comes running when I say in a singsong voice “Where’s my Caponey Baloney face!†He never comes to just Capone lol

Bugsy is a freak and gets so excited when we say “want some water?!†he starts meowing, and running around like a crazy freakazoid… not even to the water, just around the house.

Bruno freaks out at the word “Hungry†I cant even ask my boyfriend anymore if he is hungry. He also freaks out at “wanna go peepee?†LOL. So cute.

So far I've only found one thing that gets my kittens going (6 months old). I didn't realize it but when I'd get up to make bottles for them when they were a couple weeks old, I'd always say "COMEON KITTIES". They'd follow me to the sink while I made the bottles, then I'd run to the couch so I could watch them fall all over themselves trying to get back to me.

So whenever I say "COMEON KITTIES" they pounce. Wilbur's the cutest about it. he can be in a dead sleep and I say that, he immediately stand up arching his back and meows his head off letting me know he's up.

Murray likes it when I say "hello," "I love you," and "I'll clean out your [litter] box." But he really gets happy when I ask him if he wants a "snackie-wackie." Oh, and he comes running (usually) when I call out for "little Murray" (not just "Murray," but "little Murray").

Meanwhile, Simba comes running when my mom calls the family to dinner; he wants his fair share, too! Otherwise, it doesn't really matter what you say to him as long as you talk in a nice, loving voice - he'll lie there gazing lovingly at you in return.

Murray likes to do that to me, too. Silly kitty.
