My younger kitty Fluffy is so finicky about the way she "goes" in her litter boxes.. she does #1 in one box and runs over the other one, and does her #2 in that one....and she will scratch and scratch for the longest time to make sure it is all covered......are you kitties like this? talk about organized kitty..

My two only have one tray, so they don't have a choice; but one cat in particular will insist on spending ages covering anything up - I swear he's trying to dig to Australia

Having observed cats in wild colonies, it is instinctive that while in a vulnerable position, after they pee, they will cover it then move off to another location to finish their business. I have always had more than one box for one cat and have never had litter box issues. They do this type of behavior purely from instinct, so giving them two or even three boxes (if you have 2 cats) is a really plus for them.

Right here! :)
The difference between my 2 cats are very funny.
Pollyann will cover and scratch for 20 minutes, also the walls of the litterbox and the floor around the box, while Feykirofa pees, then RUNS off.
