Hi everyone,

I recently found a 6 week old female kitten, Millie
, who was a stray wandering around a dunkin donuts. I've had her for a week, and she spent 6 days isolated in the bathroom with her food, litter box, bedding and toys. She learned to use the litter box right away with no accidents
She went to the vet two days ago, and was wormed and given an otherwise clean bill of health. Yesterday, she was out and about most of the day without any issue (potty wise) Today, she has defecated twice-once on the bed and another in a blanket on the couch..
The only major change she has had is being allowed out and about. I live in a one bedroom apartment so there isn't a lot for her to get into. Does anyone have any advice? Could it be the worming that is irritating her system and making her have issues? Thanks a lot

IMO 6 weeks is still too young to be roaming around the house all day with no supervision. And its too young to get back to the litter pan in time. I suggest you get a 2nd pan for awhile and clean up any area she has used with a good cat odor/stain remover.

For at least another 2 months, if you are not there to watch her, confine her to one room.

probably a good idea - also the wormer could be causing some 'urgency'.
welcome to TCS, btw!

Even a small apartment would be a very big world to a 6-week-old kitten. You should probably restrict her to one room as much as possible until she can easily find her litter box. And do it quickly, so she doesn't form bad habits.
