YUM. I love Everyday Italian!!! I say go for it. Pretend it's a special occasion. You could always try canned clams to save money.

http://www.recipezaar.com/29961 I decided on this instead. Was about 20 bucks at the store for everything, including an $8 bottle of white wine so not too shabby (I already have olive oil so that doesn't count as buying today). I even got 2 shallots I'm going to add in there with the garlic (mmmm shallots). Hopefully I can get some leftovers out of it for lunch tomorrow

. Maybe when I feel something is a special enough occasion I can make something like that. For some reason I feel like I'm craving clams. I haven't had any in a long time, I guess that's why.

Mmmm clams!! I havent had those in so long! I used to get clams in buttersauce at an amazing Italian restaurant in New Jersey. They ended up closing down about a year after we moved - I really wished Rob could have gone there when we went to visit NJ that year. Then a restaurant here started making linguine with clams in a white wine garlic sauce, but they went out of business a few months later

My cousin is having a baby shower at a fancy Italian restaurant in Charlotte next weekend ... and I am SO getting the linguine with clams in a white wine sauce. I MISS CLAMS!!

I had a dish similar to this when we went to The Inn at Spanish Head on our anniversary. It was absolutely heavenly. One of the most delicious dishes I've ever had. I'm going to bookmark this and the next time I go the beach, I'm going to get some clams and make this myself. Thanks for posting it
