YES!!!!!!! To put it mildly, whatever they did to the animal, they should have done to them, cruel or not. they weren't thinking aobu that whent hey wer making a poor defenseless animal suffer, so why should the court system when they are sentenced?

YES!

Accompanied by psychiatric evaluation...if they cannot understand that what they have done is wrong, and feel remorse, then they should never be released, as they are a danger to society (which includes our pets!).

YES!!! i also think jail isnt enough, prison is the right place, because someone who would be cruel to a animal would probally be cruel to a child, or any one that is weak and vulable, people like that need to pick on there match but they wont they choose things that are weak, like kittens and animals. i say puttem away or do something with them, i have no use for some one like that. sorry if that sounds harsh, but thats the way i feel.
