Anyone ever gone waterskiing before?

I just got back from the lake a couple hours ago, we were helping my uncle break in his new boat by doing some fishing and waterskiing! It was tons of fun, I managed to get up twice with a few really close ones. Only problem was my hands got real sore from holding onto the handle so tight But then, we drove the 3 hours home and I bumped my leg gently on the door, and had a shooting pain go up my leg. Guess that time I fell on one of my own skis it actually DID leave a mark Now the outside of my knee is all purple/blue/green and SORE! So, ever since been putting off going to go excercise the colts

Anyone here ever been waterskiing before? any big accidents? I'm sure there are a few really good stories out there

I have not been waterskiing since I was a pre-teen. We got the powerboat and the skis when I was 9 or 10. The entire first summer season we had the new toys I was unable to get up on the skis (rule was you had three tries per trip, and then it was someone else's turn.) Finally, one day, one year, I got up, and it was awesome and I was so happy. But I didn't find it fun..... as much as I always smiled when I was on the skis. I haven't been skiing for a long time. It lost it's appeal once I got over that hurdle.
