I have a certificate in food management... so I would toss it before I fed it to anyone.

Personally, I would, myself, eat it!

I wouldn't eat it, but I'm extremely paranoid about anything I eat. I used to not care but ended up with food poisoning on several occasions. It's just not worth it to me anymore.

Well, just last week I ate some pizza for breakfast that had been sitting out all night!

Hey...if it doesn't kill you it 'll make you stronger!!!

I also do the 5 second rule for food I drop

Well, I haven't died or felt bad at all yet so I guess I'm going to live to see another day!

I've heard that it's okay to eat after sitting out all night long, and I know people who do it - but I personally would not eat anything that was not refigerated after it was cooked. I have no desire to get food poisoning..

Woohoo, you sure are brave. I new a guy that got horrible food poisoning from eating chicken noodle soup that had been sitting out all day. He had to go to the hospital and everything.

I see you've eaten it with no bad consequences: yeah! However, food poisoning takes about 8 hrs to happen. (If your body figures out that the food isn't good and vomits it right after, that's not food poisoning; that's preventing food poisoning!) I got food poisoning from some cured sausage that had been continuously in the fridge... I guess for far, far too long. It was extremely unpleasant, although, as food poisoning goes, it wasn't a bad experience. I was only dry retching/not keeping water down for about 8 hours, so my roommate at the time didn't pull roommate health veto and send me to the hospital for IV fluids. She nearly did, though.

However, I do eat pizza that's been out overnight. I also bring food with me to work in my backpack, and often fail to refrigerate it. I try not to do both things (out overnight and all day) with the same bit of food, but sometimes I do. In fact, I often figure out that food is rotting while eating it. But if something is going to cause food poisoning, it's not going to be something that you notice while you are eating or that you vomit; it's going to be something that slips past these safety checks.

I would have soooo eaten that pizza (assuming it was a good one). Most other foods I would toss, but for some reason left out pizza seems like something every college kid has eaten at one time or another.
