I was not sure if this was more appropriate in Behavior or Kitten care, so sorry if it's in the wrong place.

The father of our litter of kittens, Parrot, has started showing aggressive behavior towards them. I'm afraid he's going to hurt them, they're only about 9 weeks old. This is our first litter, so I don't know if this behavior is normal or not. What can I do about it? I'm worried we may have to rehome him if this keeps up.

I don't know for sure, but I am pretty sure I have heard that if the father cat is not neutered, or just recently neutered he will try to hurt the kittens so he can get to the mother. I would say seperate him from them until they are older. I hope someone else can give you more advice!

Unfortunately separating them is not an option at this point, so I hope there's another solution, but thank you!

There really isn't except getting him neutered. He will still have male hormone in him for a time. Toms are known to kill kittens even their own so I think separating them is imperative.
Can you put the litter and mother in a closet or a bathroom. They need less space then the male cat.
