I currently have two cats...
KittyKitty is the 'boss' cat in my household. She's three years old, and a shorthair 'tabico.' She loathes other cats, tolerates people as far as rubbing on them, has an obsessive-compulsive problem with water, will only allow people to carry her if they do it properly... Properly being upside-down. Any other method is inappropriate and will result in claws being used. All playtime must be rough and bullying. If you aren't pissing her off, you're doing it wrong and she will tire of your wimpy self and walk away.
She's also 'alpha dog' of her pack.
Her best friends are my 5 year old rottweiler and 3 year old pit bull. She follows them around the house (or they follow her), sleeps with them, grooms them (and gets groomed back), wrestles with them and occasionally smacks them to make sure they remember she's in charge. She may also be having an affair with the rottie, because everytime I peek in on them, she seems to be cuddling and/or making out with him.
It's a little creepy, actually.
...
We just recently acquired a second cat about a week and a half ago, who has yet to be named. We've been affectionately calling her "Preggo" for the past couple of days, since it's been determined she's in fact gotten herself in a sticky situation with some hot one-night-stand she met on the streets we found her on. She's black and white, with gorgeous green eyes, and appears to be anywhere between 7 1/2 to 9 months old. We're hoping, despite her age, pregnancy goes well and we'll be able to place kittens with the help of the woman down our street who runs an animal rescue. It's a bit difficult to tell what her personality will end up being like, as she's currently in uberaffectionate cuddle pregnancy mode.
She does not like the dogs, often ignoring them or smacking them in the face until they cry and run away (this confuses them, because the other cat is their BFF). She generally avoids KittyKitty, who greets her five times daily with a poofed racoon tail and growling. She does, however, love her peoples. But she's sneaky, and sometimes instead hates us. You never know if you're going to get smacked or rubbed on when you go to pet her. It's a mystery!
I will post pictures at some point.
