One encouraging thing: They took Ella, the Katrina cat with the nose problem, in to the vet this week. They didn't figure out what the problem is, but they gave her a steroid shot and a course of antibiotics. Just as we were about to leave, one of the employees came out and gave her her antibiotic dose, and did a very neat and fast job of it. When she was done, she petted Ella and kissed her on the head. And she told me a while back she was never a cat person before starting at the shelter!
