Time for symptoms to show after a cat eating food it's allergic to?

Basically, I've just found an overgroomed spot on Nikita

She's had this before and this time around it's in a slightly different location to the others but it's a semi hairless spot on her forearm. They used to show in her armpit but this one is actually in a better location because it's easier to see and it will dry quicker since it's exposed to air rather than tucked away in her armpit so less danger of becoming badly infected.

Nikita broke into my trash can around 10 days ago and got into ham that I'm pretty sure she's allergic to and what caused the overgrooming in the past.

The current overgroomed spot doesn't look too bad and isn't 100% hairless yet but close so I don't know how long it's been there. Probably not long because I've been checking her out every day although since it's in a different location I may have missed it when it was just a thinning of hair rather than hairless.

So basically my question is if roughly the time delay between the spot and her eating the ham is roughly right or not? or if something else could have caused it. How fast do symptoms develop (on average) in cats after they've eaten something they're allergic to?

I still have the antibiotic steroid cream from last time and the vet told me then that if it happened again I could start using it without phoning them first and I will phone up the vet and possibly bring her in as well on Monday.

I've not put any cream on it yet because it's not looking inflamed. There are some scabs in it though but I've not caught her licking it yet. The other times she had one of these spots she licked it a lot. She would even stop mid play to lick the spot.

I know of course not to rule out behavioral over grooming but I don't really know what would have triggered it then. I'll get a refill for my feliway plugin though since that can't hurt.

Hi
I do not know the answer but i've noticed that if one of my cats eats wet food with beef on it he immediately throws it up, so I asume he is allergic to it... I never gave him again beef.
