Piper is beginning to eat solid food. Actually, she loves it, and whenever she sees me licks to see if I'll give her any... she cleaned out a 3 oz can in only 2 days, so I have to get some more. I'm not going to call it weaning as I'd rather she didn't switch to solid food, much as her sucking reflex is horrible. I just wanted to start her on it so she'd gain some weight. Anyway, I have a question- when they start eating solid food with additional milk, do they need water? How do you give it to them? Thanks.

if she can eat solid food, she may be able to lap water, as well... worth putting a bowl down to see.
