When I first joined here I paid a subscription fee to support the site.

I found myself not participating in the premium forum because frankly 90% of the threads are depressing. Valid, but depressing. So I didn't renew my subscription after 90 days.

I was going to change my avatar and I noticed I can't upload one anymore. is that only available for paid subscribers? I really wanted to use this but can't

Maybe it's because it's animated and you haven't posted enough posts to enable you to use it. I can't use animated avatars until I have 1,200 posts and something like 120 days in membership.

You can upload a custom avatar when you have reached Super Cat status or become a subscribing member.

To get full Super Cat status you must have 700 posts and 120 days in membership
Then you get:

* 40 stored PMs
* 39 additional avatars to choose from
* Ability to upload custom avatar
* 80 Kb in uploaded attachments
* Access to Cat Pages
* Posting access to IMO, if over 18.
