People died here today from the heat

The Heat and Smoke are so bad here. She was 91 years old and her A/C wasnt working so she was using Fans. A few farm workers also died.

Geesh How scary.

That's so sad I wish people would remember to check on the elderly and people with disabilities when it gets too hot out- they're often the ones to suffer That and people should really check on the people working for them and make sure they're well hydrated and cool....guess a lot of folks don't care about that though.

That's horrible. Excessive heat should be taken as seriously as any other natural catastrophe. It's usually the elderly and poor who suffer most.

While everyone all around us are suffering with extreme heat, it's been very comfortable here in Los Angeles, at least it's compfy on the West Side. It's humid here, though, but the temps have only been in the low 80's. It's hotter in the Valley's and inland though. Out in the inland empire their having severe storms, but we're not suffering at all where I live.

Hearing about things like that always make me grateful i have a close family. My grandma doesn't go a day without a phone call or seeing one of us. Too bad having neighbors doesn't mean anything anymore.
