I need to find PRISM Performance 30/20 (for dogs) and I'd rather find it in a store. They don't have a product locator on their website. Does anyone know if Petco sells this? (or PetSmart?). The only place where I live that sells pet food is a Safeway and then a small pet store that doesn't have it. There is a PetSmart about 45-60 minutes away.

I don't know if this is the right place to post this question, so I apologize if it isn't.

I've never seen this food, so I'm not sure where you might find it.. It really doesn't impress me at all, though. Is there a reason you need this particular food?

From what I've seen of it, it's a really low quality food. First ingredient on the one I looked at was corn. But Pet Supplies PLus carries it. There's tons of better foods out there, though.

We only need it because that is what our puppy is currently eating and we want to make a gradual switch with the food once we bring him home. We are switching him to Canidae or Wellness Large Breed Puppy. (I wasn't that impressed with the ingredients either).

Does he have a sensitive tummy?
I've never had any issues with switching dogs, just cats, afterall, dogs are built with cast iron stomachs

No, I just assumed you should do a gradual switch with dogs too.

It's probably not a bad idea, it's just not neccesary as it is with cats.
Even some cats can tolerate switches to a small extent.

If the pup is very young, or a small/toy breed, I'd go gradual, as they seem to be the ones that get tummy upset the easiest.

Watch out if you switch to Canidae.. they have changed their formula, so if you happen to buy a bag of the original formula, you'll be essentially changing the food again next time you buy it. It varies by area whether the old or new is on the shelves.

Maybe whoever you are getting the puppy from would be willing to give/sell you a week's worth of the food so you don't have to bother getting a bag?

Our old golden retriever tolerates only Prism lamb &rice. The only place we can find it is
The Cayuga Pet Store. In Cayuga, Ontario.
