Hi all,
I've had my 12 week old since Sunday. she has been separated from my 11 month old male in another room however i have glass doors in my house so they have been able to see each other. Miley the kitten has settled in fine and Jack my male has only been watching her through the glass for a while then wanders away. He has done a few low moans and hisses though. The door was opened once and he never even came in, she went towards him and he ran off. So anyway friday is the day when we're finally letting them be together so fingers crossed for a good introduction.

Good luck with the introduction. I own three cats and it wasn't easy introducing them together at the begining, a lot of hissing... but once they get used to one another they even like to cuddle.

Have you given each cat bedding with each others scent on it? And have you let the kitten explore the rest of the house while the older cat has been locked away? & visa versa?

well it couldn't have gone better. The first hour my male followed kitty around shadowing her every move and after a few hisses at each other and a few harmless pads they seem to be fine. I'm very happy .

Glad to hear it went well. I've only ever had to intro dogs to cats & cat to new pup. They are all friends now & the cat torments the pup to chase her & play.
