I am using the Lysine provided by my vet at this point. It is Viralys, powdered, in a little jar.

However, I am interested in learning names of brands that might be less expensive, but still safe for the kitties. I do not know if they will need a Lysine supplement forever, but I wouldn't mind giving it to them. I've been thinking about giving it to myself!

I am using human L-Lysine caplets. The brand is Twinlab, I get them at the natural foods store. They seem to have a minimum of extra stuff. I open the capsules and mix the powder into dry food.
I buy 500ml capsules:
L-Lysine (L-lysine hydrocholride) 500 mg
Other Ingredients: Gelatin,Cellulose,Purified Water,MCT,Magnesium Stearate, Silica.
Free Of Added flavorings, sugars, salt, artificial sweeteners, colorings, preservatives, salicylates.
