Well, my sweetie just spent the afternoon in the dentist's chair, so we're looking for not a lot of serious chewing here. I had thought we'd have a night off from the macaroni salad we had last night, but I think I'll tweak that a bit and saute a few prawns to go with it.

Last night I grilled scallops and zucchini. Very yummy!
Tonight we got a take-out Chef's salad to split. It's huge and has all kinds of good stuff on it.
I'm glad I didn't have to cook, it was 101.6 outside when we got home and 86.3 inside, with the a/c on! *melts*

We had salad - baby romaine, cherry tomato, blue cheese crumbles, I had ground turkey sauteed with onion powder, ground cumin, chili powder and roasted red peppers, with a bit of cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream, boiled cauliflower (dh had his turkey in a wrap), for my desset I had a Dove Bar - milk chocolate w/almonds, coffee.

Yup...back on my "diet" aka way I'll be eating rest of my life

I bought a can of mini ravioli because I was too tired after the gym to make something.

Tomorrow I have to make my veggie burgers and lentil soup though. Then I'll have yummy food in the freezer ready to eat

I made chicken and green beans last night for dinner. Tonight, I might make some pasta
Depends on my mood
I kind of want a calzone from the italian restaurant down the street, too!

Having chicken tonight - probably in a curry sour cream sauce, with green beans, a salad, and a Dove Bar with milk chocolate and almonds for dessert

Okay, I didn't use sour cream, but cooked the chicken in coconut oil, then seasoned it with curry powder, covered the pan and let it cook...got a nice crust on the chicken - without any breading..whoohoo!...it was really, really good! (I'm down over 11 lbs. in 3 weeks )

I HOPE I'm going to the TEXAS ROAD HOUSE for supper with members of my Club. It depends on the weather, this afternoon we started getting thunderstorms! Well, just got a call from my sister, and because of the weather, I'm NOT going. Mom's been fed so I'll scrounge around and find something for myself.

Well, its 5pm, Thunderstorming out... have not heard from the husband yet if he is on his way home from work... he always calls on his way home from work or if he's going to be late... so he must still be at a client... So *I* eat nothing until HE gets home so that I can eat with him...

I asked the kids what they wanted for Dinner... they all shouted CEREAL!... SO... APPLE JACKS... its what 4 year olds like for dinner... just so ya know.

(really, normally I'd make something more nutritionally sound... but meh... the husband is out late... let the kids have what they want... no need to cook
)

You are the second person to mention Texas Roadhouse today, and now I'm salivating! I LOVE their rolls. Usually I get a 6 or 8oz sirloin with the side house salad (balsamic viniagrette dressing), and some mashed potatoes ... and oodles of those rolls!
I want to go there for date night now
But I promised Rob we'd get Chinese food next date night!

I had homemade lentil soup. Yumm.

It has lentils, carrots, celery, sweet potatoes, chicken stock, diced tomatoes, tomato soup, garlic, cumin, corriander, nutmeg, pepper, curry, salt, oregano and spinach. I serve it with cashews and sunflower seeds as a garnish. So yummy

Spanakopita and Greek Salad. Fast, easy, reasonably healthy, and very satisfying. Dessert is probably ice cream with fresh strawberry coulis.
