One year ago TODAY the lives of our family changed FURever!!!!! It was one year ago today that my family adopted Ripley and Cali from the animal shelter. What a year its been!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cali was SOOOOOOO LITTLE (she was 1 month old and weighed 1lb and 9 oz) She isnt quite soooo little anymore. I like to say that she has grown from handfull (when we first adopted her, we took a picture of her curled up asleep in my hands) to handfull (now she's ALWAYS in trouble) But we love her anyway!!!! Some of her nicknames include "Meerkat" (when she sits on her hindlegs she looks just like a meerkat); "Baby" (when she wants too, she acts just like a baby); "I'm-a-whiner" (she whines alot, espcially at closed doors); "Goat" (this is because she gets on top of everyting, just like a mountain goat); and "Peewee" ( my grandpa calles her this because she was sooo little when we adopted her.)
Ripley was 3 months old when we adopted her. We call her "Puppy" because she likes to follow people around. She is SOOOOO SWEET (unless you pick her up when she doesnt want to be held). My grandpa calles her "Lux" because she rolls on her back and begs you to rub her belly.
Hopefully we will have many more years with our "cougars".
